Pricing and Payments
Everyone is different, and all tattoos are unique.
I've created a simple guide to how my pricing works for tattoos below. If you're looking for something but you're unsure of where your design would fit or suit, you can contact me right here.
Important notes for your design:
I do not recommend any humanoid character pieces (with details in eyes/face) be done very small. If you are looking to have a character done, i normally recommend the face itself be at least 10cm in height/width - otherwise, over time your lines will blur into eachother and small details will end up looking like blobs. This also goes for any character with small details (animals, flowers etc)

Appointment pre care and Skin Prep
Whilst you may think, "my other artists never asked me to do this", every artist is different!
I have a set list of instructions for appointment pre care because I know that these steps assist me in making the best possible tattoo for you!
In the weeks leading up to your appointment
This is the most important time to care for your skin and body leading up to your tattoo!
You will need:
Vitamin E cream, Bio Oil or similar moisturiser
A gentle exfoliant
Any numbing creams you plan on using
Leading up to your appointment, make sure you're shaving and exfoliating the area around your tattoo placement.
Make sure you moisturise daily, and do a patch test with any numbing creams or products you intend on using as well!
Check your schedule for any conflicts - you can only reschedule once with the same booking fee, and outside of the 72 hours before your appointment.
Appointment Day Checklist
Things to do:
○ Shave the area the night before!
○ Shower before coming into your appointment
○ Apply numbing cream (if using - check my instructions here!)
○ Make sure you're not sick!
○ Eat a big meal - not just a coffee or a piece of toast!
Things to bring:
○ Sugary snacks to keep up your blood sugar
○ Something to do - a game, book, or your phone
○ Headphones - if you plan on watching videos or listening to your own music
○ Your payment method - if it's cash or otherwise, make sure you've got it!
○ Your ID - can't tattoo you without it!
Important!
○ Don't Be Late! - If you're more than 5 minutes late, send me a text. If you're more than 15 late, without contact you'll be considered a no call, no show.
○ Try not to tense up too much! It makes it harder to tattoo you, and as a result, more painful.
○ If you require a support person, please let me know in advance! I am socially awkward and struggle holding conversations with people I haven't met before, and much prefer to build a relationship with my client alone when we first meet. If you let me know before that you need someone, I can prepare.
Rescheduling and Cancellation
Your appointment cannot be rescheduled within 72 hours of the time of booking. This means that if you need to reschedule for any reason within this time, you will need to pay a new booking fee to rebook.
If you cancel your appointment at any time, your booking fee will be forfeited. All booking fees are NON REFUNDABLE under any circumstance.
CANCELLATION FEES FOR NO SHOWS
If you do not attend your appointment and do not let me know that you are unable to make it beforehand, you will be charged a cancellation fee, on top of your forfeited booking fee. This is non negotiable, all you need to do is send me a message to let me know before your appointment time that you are unable to attend to avoid this.
Cancellation fees vary depending on length of appointment (see below)
1-4 Hour appointment - $100 cancellation fee
over 4 hours - $200 cancellation fee
RESCHEDULING TIMEFRAMES
Should you reschedule your appointment outside of the 72 hour timeframe, you may use the same booking fee to reschedule for a later date, however depending on pricing changes, please be aware that if a price increase has been applied since booking your appointment, the new price will apply to the rescheduled appointment.
Booking fees can only be used within a three month time frame of the booking date. This means that if you are unable to choose a later date when you reschedule, you have up to three months from your original appointment date to choose a new date - but please note that you need to inform me that you intend to reschedule to a later date, not just cancel.
GUEST SPOT AND EXPO INFORMATION:
If you have booked an appointment whilst I'm travelling to expos or other studios (not my home studio Til Death Tattoo) and you need to cancel your appointment, your booking fee will be forfeited and you are not able to use the same deposit to book a new appointment. If I have another date available the same week at the studio you have booked in for, you may reschedule to that date, however no further bookings are able to be made with the same booking fee.
Please note that appointment times generally are based on the time the studio opens. Please make sure you do not arrive more than 5 minutes early, without bringing anyone with you, especially if you have a morning appointment as you may not be able to access the studio before open time.
Numbing creams: Brands and Application
Numbing cream is a big question in the tattoo industry.
Personally, I do not mind if clients should choose to use these products, as long as my preferred brands are used, and a patch test is done beforehand (put a small amount on your skin and wrap it with cling wrap a week or two before to make sure you don't have any redness or other reaction)
BRANDS
I recommend:
Numb Up Tattoo (my sponsor and personal favourite)
How to apply
You are welcome to bring your cream to apply at your appointment - HOWEVER - please note that you will have to sit for an hour while it applies and you will be charged for this time. If you are in for a short session, I may refuse depending on timing and if I have clients after you.
Application beforehand:
Take a hot shower, exfoliate and shave the area.
Dry off with a paper towel, clean towel or air dry
Apply the cream - you will need a lot! Rub in one layer first, then apply a thick, generous layer over the whole section and leave over the top.
Wrap with cling wrap, and leave for up to 1.5 hours before your appointment.
Aftercare: Brands and Instructions
Recommended Brands:
Numb Up
Numb Skulled
Aftercare Collective
Plain Sorbolene moisturiser
Dry Healing~
I prefer that my clients do not use heavy creams and ointments, please do not use paw paw ointment, bepanthen, or other thick or scented items.
I base this one how I know my work heals, so please follow the instructions i provide for my work specifically, even if you have other artists instructions from previous work, every artist is different.
Aftercare Instructions for your tattoo
Using Second Skin
Second Skin is my preferred way for healing tattoos!
It's great to help keep the area protected from any outside bacteria.
So here's how to use it:
Step 1: Second skin is on.
If it's safe and secure, and doesn't leak, keep the bandage on for 24 hours.
Step 2: After 24 hours, take the bandage off
(make sure to do so in warm running water!) and wash the tattoo gently with unscented soap or tattoo wash.
Step 3: Air dry the tattoo.
You can use a fresh, clean towel or paper towel, but avoid anything that may have come into contact with any pet hair, dirt or other bateria.
Step 4: Apply a second bandage.
If you don't have any, you can usually find some at the chemist! Try to layer it over the same way as the original bandage, and make sure you have clean hands when you do it!
Step 5: Leave this bandage on up to 4 days.
After this, you can just take it off and go about your life as normal! Just keep the tattoo clean and dry, no further care required!
Without Second Skin
Step 1: You've left the appointment, and your tattoo is wrapped in cling wrap.
AS SOON AS you get home, unwrap the cling wrap, and take a warm shower.
Wash the tattoo very gently with unscented soap or tattoo foam wash.
Step 2: Let the tattoo dry.
Don't use dirty towels or anything that has come into contact with pet hair, dirt, or other bacteria. Do NOT at this stage, use your aftercare. Just leave it for now.
Step 3: For ONLY the first night, re wrap the tattoo.
Just wrap it with cling wrap, right before you're about to go to bed. This will stop you from getting any bacteria in it, and protect it from sticking to your bed sheets!
DO NOT WRAP EVERY NIGHT. This will not help your tattoo heal.
Step 4: Wakey Wakey, it's day 2!
When you wake up, unwrap the tattoo and jump back in the shower. Give it another gentle wash (just like the first step) and let it dry again.
Step 5: Leave the tattoo to dry out for today.
No aftercare just yet!
Step 6: The end of day 2.
Give your tattoo another wash and let it dry for about 2 hours. Now's the time for your aftercare!
Step 7: You're applying your aftercare.
Remember, don't use a lot! Think of it as if you're applying sunscreen. If there's a thick layer on top, it's way too much! It should be only a little moist, and a little shiny when you've applied it.
Remember: More moisture = More bacteria = more chance of infection!
Step 8: Repeat step 6 & 7 for the next 3-4 days. After that, you're in the clear!
IMPORTANT
When you're caring for a new tattoo some VERY important things to remember:
Don't over use your aftercare.
Dry healing is A-OK! But the more moisture you use, the more chance you have of getting your tattoo infected, and losing the ink over time. It's also super painful to have an infected tattoo!
Do NOT go swimming for the first 4-6 weeks.
If you go swimming in any body of water, or keep your tattoo submerged for long periods of time (like in a bath or sauna) you are risking infection.
Do NOT allow your tattoo to get sunburned.
In fact, its best to keep it out of the sun as much as possible even if you tan! Too much exposure to UV rays can harm the integrity of your skin and lead to conditions like hyperpigmentation. You don't want that!
When your tattoo is healed, use sunscreen!
The more exposure to sun you have, the more your tattoo will age over time.
Do NOT wear tight clothing
that can get caught on any scabs or flaking skin. Make sure you are wearing fairly loose fitting clothing that won't rub or scrape on the tattoo.
Do NOT pick at the scabs or scratch your tattoo!
I know it's hard, they get super itchy! But you need to remember, if you're picking off any scabs or flaking skin, you're risking ink fallout! If you want your tattoo to stay pretty, make sure you just apply a little cream when you're itchy instead (my favourite is hustle butter or any unscented soothing moisturiser)
Do NOT let animals or children touch your tattoo!
Look, the kiddos are curious but who knows where their hands have been!? Tell them gently that they can't touch it yet, but when it's all healed they can poke it all they want! Any pets also carry their own bacteria, and letting them rubs against, touch or lick your tattoo risks infection!
MOST IMPORTANTLY:
If you have ANY questions at all about how your tattoo is healing, or you are worried about something, please send me a message! No question is a stupid question when it comes to caring for your new body art, and I am ALWAYS happy to help.
